RDA 23rd Plenary Meeting – San José, Costa Rica (Hybrid)
The Research Data Alliance’s (RDA) 23rd Plenary Meeting will be held in San José, Costa Rica, and online from November 12-14, 2024, under the theme “Sustainable Science.” This hybrid event will bring together global leaders to tackle pressing data challenges and explore best practices in sustainable data use.
We are delighted to announce that Joonas Kesäniemi, co-chair of the FAIR Mappings Working Group and a key contributor to FAIRCORE4EOSC, will lead the "BoF session on FAIR Mappings - Let’s start working."
This BoF session aims at presenting the ongoing work of the FAIR Mapping WG. First, we will discuss the FAIR Recommendations and the proposed updates made by the WG. Secondly, we will present and discuss the use case collection template and process developed by the WG to build up enough knowledge to start working on the mapping classification. This work includes presentation of initial set of use cases that will showcase mapping related activities with a global scope. The BoF session provides visibility to the new WG and enables it to gather feedback and comments on the use-case collection approach as well as to collect additional use-cases by tapping into the international audience of the plenary.
This participation highlights the commitment of FAIRCORE4EOSC to advancing the FAIR principles and aligns with the event’s focus on sustainable and open research data practices. Stay tuned for insights from this session as we continue to build a more interconnected and FAIR-compliant data ecosystem!
