EOSC Symposium 2024

Save the date: 21-23 October 2024  | #OSC2024 #EOSCsymposium24

The international EOSC Symposium is scheduled to occur in Berlin in 2024, with an expected attendance of 450 experts hailing from research, research infrastructures, and representatives of European science policy. The primary objective of this gathering is to present concrete results, engage in discussions on novel ideas, and advance the cause of open science in Europe.

This outstanding event as well as the high thematic synergies have inspired the Open Science Conference to join forces with the EOSC Symposium to present the topic of Open Science in Berlin in 2024.

The EOSC Association, with the support of EOSC Focus, will assume the organisational responsibility for the EOSC Symposium in 2024, which will be a critical event on the path to EOSC post-2027. The EOSC Symposium 2024 will build on the success and momentum established by the 2023 event, organised as in previous years by the EOSC Future project, while also expanding the potential for on-site participation.

EOSC Symposium 2024 will take place under the patronage of the German Minister for Education and Research Bettina Stark-Watzinger. The event is being organised in coordination with the EOSC-A German Mandated Organisation, NFDI, to capitalise on the synergies between the EOSC and NFDI communities. NFDI will hold a meeting with representatives of its 26 consortia back-to-back to the EOSC Symposium to trigger collaboration between the target groups.

Mark your calendars for this significant event. Further details about the program and registration will be communicated at a later date. For updates, visit https://www.open-science-conference.eu/
