EOSC Symposium 2024

The EOSC Symposium 2024 will be held in Berlin at the H4 Hotel Alexanderplatz, under the patronage of Bettina Stark-Watzinger, the German Minister for Education and Research. The event is organized by the EOSC Association, NFDI (the EOSC-A German Mandated Organisation), the Leibniz Information Centre for Economics (ZBW), and supported by the Horizon Europe project, EOSC Focus.

To leverage synergies between the EOSC and NFDI communities, NFDI will conduct a meeting with its representatives and other stakeholders alongside the EOSC Symposium to foster collaboration.

FAIRCORE4EOSC at the EOSC Symposium 2024!

FAIRCORE4EOSC, in collaboration with OpenWebSearch.eu and FAIR-IMPACT, is hosting an unconference titled "Unconference | Findability in FAIR: Touchpoints between EOSC and Open Web Search" on October 22nd from 17:00 to 18:00 CEST.

As we gear up for the EOSC Symposium 2024, preparations for an engaging and thought-provoking event program are in full swing! We invite you to participate in our Call for Unconference Sessions to highlight topics that are vital to the EOSC community.

This session will explore innovative collaborations in findability (F) within FAIR and their impact on future FAIR data goals in the EOSC context. It highlights the importance of transparency in developing search applications and how broader collaboration can benefit the research community. Using examples from OpenWebSearch.eu, FAIRCORE4EOSC, and FAIR-IMPACT, the session examines how improved findability affects science, industry, and society. It also aligns with the EOSC Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda and supports Europe’s web sovereignty.
